BDPA, “Black Data Processing Associates” is an international organization with a diverse membership of professionals and students at all levels in the fields of information technology, computer science and related S.T.E.M fields. Members are actively engaged in serving the community through outreach and charting the future of the IT industry.
BDPA was founded in 1975 by Earl Pace and the late David Wimberly to address the underrepresentation of minorities in the field of Information Technology. The organization today has chapters in every major city throughout the United States, thousands of professional and student members and an online community of more than 90,000 people.
